The Great Gatsby’s characters fall into distinct social categories. The “aristocracy” are the inhabitants of fashionable East Egg; the nouveaux riches reside in West Egg; the lower class struggle in the Valley of Ashes. Nick rents an “eyesore” in West Egg. His romantic interest, Jordan Baker, lives with an aunt in the City and grew up with Daisy Fay Buchanan in St. Louis. Jordan moves easily among the established gentry of East Egg and the parvenus of East Egg.

The 1960’s were a time of great unrest in the United States. Anti-war protests swept campuses across the nation while the Civil Rights Movement raised racial tension in major cities and throughout the South.
The World’s most recognizable person stood tall in both arenas. MUHAMMAD ALI, young, brash and outspoken, refused to be sidelined by either movement or forced out into the front.
Born Cassius Clay in Louisville, Kentucky he had little interest in school work. He started boxing at age 12

The Haunting of the Waverly Hills Sanatorium
Waverly Hills Historical Society, Inc. Jefferson County, Louisville, Kentucky
History of the Building:
In the early nineteen-hundreds, this facility was used to house and “treat” tuberculoses patients. More than ten thousand men, women and children died from their illness in this old hospital. In fact, the body count was so massive that the hospital began to rail the bodies down the “tunnel of death” to get them out of the hospital unseen by the other

Nikki Horner from Louisville, Kentucky was a breeder with a vision of a cat that was copper-eyed and shorthaired with an exotic appearance resembling a miniature Black Panther with the black leopard of India inspiring the breed name of Bombay. It was in 1953 that Ms. Horner began on her quest with a black American Shorthair male that had a deep copper eye coloring and a Grand Champion sable colored Burmese female.
It was a long process but by selecting carefully

Premiering in October of 2000 on the Fox Family Channel (now known as the ABC Family Channel), “The Scariest Places on Earth” was reality television series focused on documenting (as the title implies) some of the scariest places on earth. Although the series’ initially featured guided tours of haunted locations, later episodes included families that were sent to visit purportedly haunted locations where they would be followed by cameras 24/7 in an attempt to document any paranormal activity that

In 2003 my life blackened. You always hear of people who came back from the dead but do you actually know anyone who has? Well, I still don’t, but my family does. They got first hand experience with it. All I had to do was learn to live again. But before I learned to live again, I had to learn how to learn. Everything.
I had been suffering from pancreatitis since early 2002. Excruciating pain

Sometimes Your Better Off Defending Yourself
My Boyfriend sets in Louisville Metro Corrections right now for a crime he claims he didn’t commit. I have good reason to believe that if he did he has no recollection of the happenings. He suffers from a mental condition that causes him to hear voices. He also has bad seizures and suffers black out spells.
He was held in a Federal Facility for

Somebody better alert Purina. Apparently, they’re missing out on the vegetarian dog segment of their market.
We have a Rottweiler, Chloe, who, shall we say, is not a picky eater. I discovered a few years ago that she likes green beans. Good for her, I thought. She’s a cheap date.
In October 2004, my husband and I, Chloe and our two cats relocated from suburban life near Nashville, Tennessee to city life in Louisville, Kentucky.

There is an old adage that says “April Showers Bring May Flowersâ€, but for most fantasy players, the only thing that they care about April bringing, is the NFL Draft. There aren’t a whole lot of difference makers that come out of the Rookie Draft each season and become instant fantasy options, but there have been some home run hitters, and if you were lucky enough to have plucked out a Randy Moss or an Anquan Boldin during their rookie

This year NCAA college basketball received a treat with the emergence of talented players bud into collegiate stars. Some were just living up to the hype, others sprung into stardom, while others fizzled out. Let’s start with UCLA’s Kevin Love, who was immediately expected to make an impact for his team and did just that. The top scorer on his team and leading them to the Final Four, most looked at him as the second coming of Bill Walton. Then
